Our off-site manufacture process ensures exceptional build quality, significantly improved air permeability ratings and tangible improvements in thermal properties, compared to traditional construction.
Our specialist are able achieve a range of U-values on all our building elements. We work closely with our clients to ensure that U-values meet or, in many cases, surpass current legislation.
Because our buildings are constructed in a controlled environment and not on a building site, all of this can be achieved much more easily than in traditional build.
We are also able to build to Passivhaus standard.
Because our buildings are built in our factory and not on a building site we achieve significantly improved air permeability ratings when compared to the traditional construction techniques.
Recent on-site testing revealed a score of 0.68 permeability @ 50 PA, AP50 (m3/h.m2) on our show home, compared with usual measurements of six or seen in brick buildings. However we can engineer robust details to reduce this figure further in order to meet specific project requirements such as Passivhaus.
This means better built, more sustainable and more energy efficient buildings that are cheaper to heat.
Just as our construction methods make our buildings air tight, they also help us achieve exceptional levels of sound proofing.
This is largely thanks to clever designs from our engineers and the fact that all building elements are separate. Recent test data performed on a live site showed more than a 60db reduction between party walls in our standard construction.
